Mozaic is a Seagate hard drive platform that combines HAMR with advanced nanotechnologies, including superlattice platinum-alloy media, a plasmonic writer, a spintronic reader, and a 7nm integrated controller. It delivers 4TB+ per disk and up to 44TB per drive while retaining a 10-disk architecture, improving storage density and efficiency per square foot and reducing watts per terabyte and total cost of ownership. Mozaic supports hyperscale, cloud, enterprise, and AI infrastructure and is described as having a roadmap to 100TB and beyond.
