Octant is a participatory public-goods funding experiment using Golem’s GLM token, in which eligible participants can claim ETH rewards or donate them to selected public-good projects with matching from Octant.

Description

Developed by the Golem Foundation, Octant runs recurring funding rounds supported by a portion of the Foundation’s rewards from staking 100,000 ETH. Community members who lock at least 100 GLM in an Octant contract for a 90-day epoch receive governance rights over Octant’s funds. After an epoch, eligible participants can claim a share of the funds as ETH rewards or donate it to community-selected public-good projects; Octant matches donations.
