ORBX is a video codec in OTOY's streaming platform, designed for low-latency real-time video streaming. OTOY states that it delivers 1080p60 performance, HDR and 12-bit color support, and can achieve similar H.264 quality at 50% of the bitrate while supporting faster encoding and decoding. ORBX.js enables JavaScript-only decoding in standard browsers without plugins or extensions.
