Panoptes is an end-to-end solution for ensuring the veracity and traceability of Earth Observation data, from the moment it is captured by a sensor to its verification by the end user. Built on a blockchain-based foundation, it guarantees the immutability of records and can detect even the slightest change of a single pixel in the event of data manipulation or misinterpretation, allowing users to verify image metadata, applied processing steps, and analysis outcomes. It integrates with both B2B and B2C systems. 3IPK, the company behind Panoptes, was the first to be awarded a blockchain technology contract by the European Space Agency for a traceability solution for space applications, and Panoptes' underlying technology has since been adopted by organizations such as Thales Alenia Space. In 2025, 3IPK became the first operator of a blockchain network on the International Space Station as part of the IMAGIN-E mission, using Panoptes-related technology to synchronize blockchain nodes in orbit and on Earth for Earth Observation data recorded directly at the sensor.
