Swingby operates Skybridge, a layer-2 cross-chain bridge protocol that allows native assets such as Bitcoin to be bridged onto smart-contract-enabled chains like Ethereum, either through minting or liquidity pool provision, without relying on custodians. The network is powered by a decentralized set of Metanodes run by the Swingby community, where a majority consensus among the top 50 bonded Metanodes is required to process swaps, with network fees rewarded back to participants. Swingby serves DeFi users looking to bridge assets like BTC/WBTC, as well as community members who can run Metanodes or provide liquidity to earn APR rewards (up to 80% for Metanode operators and 8.5% for liquidity pooling upon Chaos-MainNet launch).
