Testivia is a standalone cloud-based system launched in 2020 by VariusSystems (Vienna, Austria) to digitize the end-to-end workflow of Covid-19 testing — from online appointment booking and proband registration (with optional location and test-lane management) to automatic result dispatch. It supports both PCR tests and antigen rapid tests, and includes automatic QR-code confirmation emails, QR-code-based check-in and sample-to-proband matching at test stations, an automatic timer function for rapid tests, fully automated result delivery via SMS and email to probands and authorities, automated data import via interfaces to labs, authorities, or ERP systems, and statistics for test evaluation. As of the stated date (01.02.2021), the system had processed over 2,000,000 test recordings. It is hosted on an ISO-certified Austrian cloud/hosting provider with regular backups, and VariusSystems also offers mobile test teams on request. Testivia is marketed as one of the distinct product modules within the VariusSystems suite, serving test centers, laboratories, and other organizations managing high volumes of Covid testing.
