Description
The Bornless is an FPS horror extraction game set on a remote Lovecraftian island during the 1960s, where players explore haunting landscapes, fight for Sigils, battle Cultists and Demons, and complete rituals at ancient Gates. Gameplay unfolds in phases: looting and exploring, performing rituals to summon rare Sigils, and finally a hunt phase where players must find an extraction point before time runs out. It is similar to a Battle Royale, with elimination-based matches where the winning team takes all. The game is currently focused on Windows PC via Steam and Epic Games, with console support planned for the future and no plans for Mac support. The Bornless has been in closed playtesting since November 2021 and has partnered with several organizations as official Factions and community supporters, including Metaguild, The Kingdom, By The Fire, and XBorg. Despite some Web3 gaming guild involvement among its partners, the developers explicitly state the game itself is not a blockchain game. The project is developed by Cathedral Studios Limited.
