The Ocean is a single smart contract that provides a shared ERC-1155 ledger and standardized accounting framework for tokens and DeFi primitives. It supports ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155 assets, tracks appropriate intermediate balance updates in memory, and enables users to compose primitive interactions atomically while Ocean-native primitives outsource accounting to it.
