THORChain is a Layer 1 cross-chain decentralised exchange that enables native asset swaps across multiple blockchains without wrapped tokens or intermediaries. The protocol provides continuous liquidity pools, streaming swaps for price-optimised execution, dual/single-asset liquidity provisioning, Savers, and Trade Assets for high-frequency trading with fast finality. THORChain is built with the Cosmos SDK and CometBFT, uses Bifröst chain clients and GG20 TSS for chain connectivity and vault management, and is economically secured by the RUNE asset for settlement, security, governance, and incentives.
