True Wrapped TAO (TwTAO) is a regulated ERC-20 representation of Bittensor’s native TAO that bridges TAO to Ethereum. Participating merchants conduct KYC/AML for receiving flows, licensed custodians mint tokens against corresponding TAO at 1:1 backing, and authorized merchant addresses burn tokens for redemption into native TAO. The project emphasizes regulated custody and MPC-based security, and supports Ethereum-based trading, lending, DeFi, and smart-contract applications.
