Wildland is an open data-management protocol designed to give users control over how they organize, access, and process their data without online-service-provider restrictions or lock-in. Its multi-categorization system uses addresses like tags to provide multiple access paths to files, while backend agnosticism enables movement between local and cloud storage and synchronization across machines and drives. The open-source project can be used free with suitable infrastructure, and its payment system converts part of each payment into GLM to generate non-transferable Proof-of-Usage tokens that provide governance rights within Wildland.
