Description
Zcash Shielded Assets (ZSAs), or OrchardZSA, extend Zcash’s Orchard shielded protocol to support user-defined assets with privacy for sender, receiver, amount, and asset type. The protocol defines issuance keys and asset identifiers, custom-asset notes and commitments, a version 6 transaction format, consensus rules for supply tracking and finalization, and an updated fee model. It is specified through ZIP 226 and ZIP 227, has been independently audited, and is being upstreamed into Zcash’s consensus-critical crates.
