Zutrittssystem und Ticketing is a module of the VariusSystems online management platform that provides flexible access management for customers or members. Administrators can create and sell various ticket types (day tickets, monthly tickets, 10-packs, annual cards) through an integrated online shop, with entry granted on-site via QR code or a counterfeit-resistant NFC chip card; a temporary QR code can be issued by email while a physical card is being printed and shipped. The system is a pure online solution accessible from any device, browser, or operating system, with all purchases, permissions, and changes taking effect immediately, backed by a daily-updated offline backup for continuity if internet connectivity fails; all servers are located in Vienna. VariusSystems supplies the scan terminals for each door and can optionally provide locks and installation technicians, while the admin backend allows managing customers and tickets, activating/deactivating locks, remote door opening, live usage statistics for fraud detection and demand planning, two-factor authentication (card plus PIN), time/day-restricted access rules, reusable and rechargeable/renewable cards, sponsor branding on tickets and terminal displays, custom card design (produced by sister company Variuscard), and optional combination with a locker/locking system or use as a membership card. It primarily serves clubs, associations, event venues, and businesses needing controlled physical access alongside ticket sales.
