Diem Blockchain is a decentralized, programmable database intended to support a low-volatility cryptocurrency as a medium of exchange. The Diem protocol uses validators to maintain programmable resources owned by public-key-authenticated accounts, processes transactions through consensus, and uses Move for core mechanisms and smart contracts. The Diem Reference Wallet demonstrates custodial wallet functionality on the Diem Blockchain. It comprises Wallet, Flask-based web application, and PubSub modules for account management, balance updates, transaction and compliance logic, REST APIs, and on-chain event polling. It models simulated add-funds, withdrawal, and conversion use cases; its public demo supports only basic testnet demonstrations, and its simulated Diem Coins are not usable on mainnet.Category: Wallet
