Description

Duality Blockchain Solutions LLC operates Duality®, a decentralized application development platform aimed at transforming how health systems are designed, built, and interconnected. The platform creates a data infrastructure and interoperability framework intended to support information exchange across health sector boundaries, including physical networks, services, and applications, while complying with global standards such as HIPAA, HITECH, GDPR, CMS-9115-F, SMART on FHIR, and OAuth 2. Technically, Duality combines a public, permissionless proof-of-work blockchain (Dynamic/DYN), secured by collateralized full nodes called Dynodes, with private permissioned sidechains (Sequence). Supporting technologies include the Blockchain Directory Access Protocol (BDAP) as a decentralized replacement for LDAP, a distributed hash table (DHT) for scalable data storage, Very Good Privacy (VGP) for end-to-end encryption, and Fluid Protocol for on-chain self-regulation and governance. The company also offers Blockchain-as-a-Service (BaaS) and pShare, a peer-to-peer file sharing tool.
