Description

LADT is a Lao national digital technology group established under the leadership of AWARP, a sovereign-grade financial infrastructure project. Under the guidance of the Lao Ministry of Technology and Communication and the Bank of Laos, LADT is systematically constructing five major infrastructure components as a national entity company. Its flagship offering is the ASEAN USD (USDA), the first-ever ASEAN digital stablecoin, pegged 1:1 to the US dollar and backed by secure, highly liquid assets, aimed at uniting ASEAN fiat currencies and enabling real-world transactions for users, investors, and merchants across Southeast Asia. LADT's subsidiary, NewPay, has covered over 1.3 million users, with Q4 2025 transaction volume exceeding 180 million USD. As AWARP's key national-level implementation entity in Laos and the ASEAN region, LADT focuses on tokenizing real-world assets such as minerals, variable renewable energy, and artificial intelligence data centers (AIDC), while strengthening on-chain settlement systems and liquidity networks. AWARP, which recently secured a strategic investment from Animoca Brands, is collaborating with LADT on real-world asset (RWA) tokenization and cross-border payment networks, adopting regulated stablecoins as core settlement units to connect ASEAN and emerging market economies with global liquidity networks.
