NEAR Foundation is a Switzerland-based non-profit foundation (Stiftung) founded in 2020 whose mission is to enable community-driven innovation benefiting people worldwide. It focuses primarily on supporting and allocating resources to the NEAR ecosystem, a decentralized blockchain platform for building decentralized applications, rather than operating the network directly. Its main "clients" are ecosystem participants, developers, and community members within the NEAR blockchain ecosystem.
