Description

The Solar Foundation stewards the Solar blockchain’s continuity and public record. Solar is an open-source dPoS Layer-1 with 53 block producers, 8-second blocks, on-chain governance, the SXP token, a public explorer, and open-source core code. The Foundation states that there is no active development team or planned protocol updates; it maintains seed infrastructure, the explorer, technical continuity information, governance records, and historical documentation on a best-effort basis for existing holders and integrations.
