Description
Solar is an open-source Delegated Proof-of-Stake Layer-1 blockchain launched on 28 March 2022 as a community-driven fork of ARK Core. It uses 53 elected block producers, 8-second blocks, on-chain governance, and a partial fee burn; SXP is its native token and migrated to the network 1:1 in 2023. The network remains operational for holders, exchanges, and integrations, but has no active development team and no further protocol updates are planned. The Solar Foundation maintains seed infrastructure and a transparency record on a best-effort basis.Category: L1
