Shamba Network provides an open-source decentralized climate data oracle and dMRV infrastructure. Its network uses satellite data from NASA, ESA, NOAA, and JAXA, along with ground-truthed field data and expert validation, to deliver tamper-resistant environmental data to smart contracts across multiple blockchain networks. The platform supports NDVI, rainfall, soil carbon, fire detection, and land-use data, enabling applications such as parametric insurance, carbon and impact credits, green bonds, climate finance, prediction markets, and conditional aid. Shamba has conducted live deployments and pilots across East Africa for farmers, pastoralists, insurers, microfinance providers, and carbon-market participants.
