Founded in Italy in 2018, ALPS designs, builds, and operates industrial-scale compute and Bitcoin-mining infrastructure. Its current first-party projects include active facilities in Oman, Iowa, Ecuador, and Paraguay, while the Northern Italy micro-hydro network is explicitly documented as a 2019–2022 proof of concept. The company also positions its infrastructure for future HPC and AI workloads.
