Octant
Project Links
Description
Developed by the Golem Foundation, Octant runs recurring funding rounds supported by a portion of the Foundation’s rewards from staking 100,000 ETH. Community members who lock at least 100 GLM in an Octant contract for a 90-day epoch receive governance rights over Octant’s funds. After an epoch, eligible participants can claim a share of the funds as ETH rewards or donate it to community-selected public-good projects; Octant matches donations.Category: Grants Platform
Wildland
Project Links
Description
Wildland is an open data-management protocol designed to give users control over how they organize, access, and process their data without online-service-provider restrictions or lock-in. Its multi-categorization system uses addresses like tags to provide multiple access paths to files, while backend agnosticism enables movement between local and cloud storage and synchronization across machines and drives. The open-source project can be used free with suitable infrastructure, and its payment system converts part of each payment into GLM to generate non-transferable Proof-of-Usage tokens that provide governance rights within Wildland.Category: Decentralized File Storage
User-Defined Organization (UDO)
Project Links
Description
User-Defined Organization (UDO) is a governance model being developed by the Golem Foundation for decentralized platforms. Its Proof-of-Usage mechanism generates a non-transferable, non-speculative token when a user initiates a transfer of value within a platform using UDO; the token grants platform-related rights, including voting on bounty recipients. Wildland is the first implementation, while UDO is intended for broader use by projects seeking to align governance and resource allocation with actual software or protocol usage.Category: DAO Management Platform
